In this project, we were tasked to design a 10m x 10m hotel room. After looking at many hotel rooms, I found that most of them did not look very homely, and I felt that when people go on vacations, they would like to stay in a place where it felt like a temporary home. So I went for a studio apartment concept, making my space an informal one.

I purposely split both spaces by elevating the bedroom, while at the same time ensuring not to isolate both the living room and the bedroom. To do so, I partitioned both spaces with a grid fence, instead of solid walls, so from either side, the other space is visible.

For the bathroom, I went for an open concept and made it more spacious. With a floor to ceiling window, I placed a freestanding bathtub in front of it to capitalize on the view. With a free standing bathtub, I design the shower to be an open concept to complement the openness in this bathroom.
